Freedom School: Week Three

Jambo Freedom School Parents and Families,

We are now finishing out week three with the most amazing scholars known to man. This week has been an absolute blast for the scholars and the staff. Freedom School went on a exciting field trip to the North Regional Library on the Northside of Minneapolis.  The students were able to tour the library, get library cards mailed to their home and check out the impeccable selection of books, CD’s, and movies.

This week we had a very special read aloud guest, Ms. Anna M. Young, M. Ed. She is the Assistant Professor of Youth Development & Urban Studies College of Church Leadership at North Central University.

The community police officers came to Freedom School to show some love to the kids and to give them junior officer police badges!
