Hello Freedom School Parents,
One word we like to use to greet our wonderful scholars is Jambo, this means “Hello” in the African language Swahili. As we swiftly roll into week two of Freedom School, scholars and staff have had a blast thus far. It is truly an honor to teach such bright and intelligent minds and our goal is not only to increase the scholars literacy skills but to ensure that they are having fun academically and socially.
These pictures are from our painting and gardening activity. Scholars love to paint and others love to use there hands to dig up the potting soil and add it to their painted pots. Either way, their was tons of fun to be had this day!

A lot of the scholars are very active and we encourage them to release energy as they play soccer on the field, swing on the swing sets and go up and down on the teeter-totter!

Our Wednesday Read Aloud guest, Ms. Shaunie Grigsby! An alumnus of Clark Atlanta University!!! Woot woot!

Here are some great pictures of our Freedom School scholars at recess!

Parents and families, please feel free to copy, save or print the images of your scholars. Our mission is to ensure a safe and fun environment for all of the scholars here at Folwell Park Freedom School. Also, be sure to check on this website for weekly updates of your scholars.
